
Dr. Rachel Thai is a compassionate and dedicated pediatric dentist who loves making dental visits a fun and positive experience for children. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she grew up as the second of four sisters and values the strong sense of family and community that shaped her. Proud of her Chinese, Filipino, and Vietnamese heritage, she embraces the diverse cultures that have influenced her journey.
Dr. Thai earned her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis, in 2016. She then pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, graduating in 2020. To further specialize in pediatric dentistry, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in 2021, followed by an Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry in 2025 with NYU Langone Dental Medicine in Hawaii.
With a heart for service, Dr. Thai has participated in dental mission trips to Mexico, Vietnam, and the Philippines. One of her most memorable experiences was providing dental care to children at a primary school in Cebu, Philippines. During her residency, she has enjoyed treating young patients across the Hawaiian Islands, including Oahu, the Big Island, and Lanai.
Dr. Thai believes in creating a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe and excited about their dental health. She uses a gentle and patient-centered approach to help kids develop healthy habits and bright smiles for life.
Outside the office, Dr. Thai enjoys cooking, crafting, hiking, and spending time at the beach. She has a lifelong passion for arts and crafts, including ceramics, crocheting, sewing, and jewelry making. Most of all, she loves spending time with her husband and family.
